April 3, 2013To Whom This May Concern:

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to the Alabama Sports Festival Foundation for the generous contribution of a Wii system for our Physical Education program at Chatom Elementary School. We would also like to thank Mr. Ron Creel for the part he played in providing this system and Mrs. Cindy Floyd for visiting our school and coordinating this wonderful grant.  She and Mark did a great job showing us everything we needed to know to get our systems up and running for our students.  The interest and concern for our students’ health is very much appreciated.

The Wii Program has generated alot of excitement in our P.E. curriculum with our students.  All students have been actively engaged but our special needs students even more so.

The Wii Program has generated alot of excitement in our P.E. curriculum with our students.  All students have been actively engaged but our special needs students even more so.

These particular students really enjoy the dance activities, but they also are not intimidated by the fitness exercises.  With the use of the Wii Program, I can see our special needs students excited about participating without the fear of being singled out due to their varying disabilities.
